Real Madrid are apparently planning to have a great summer next year, which is why they’re linked with several players around Europe right now. One of the biggest rumors surrounding Real is the one linking Los Blancos with Paul Pogba, but things might be different now for everybody.
Now Real are reportedly interested in Paris Saint-Germain star Julian Draxler as an alternative to Paul Pogba. Pogba was linked with Madrid for quite some time, with Don Balon even claiming he was ready to force a move to the Santiago Bernabeu if Manchester United’s performances didn’t show any improvement.
However, nowa different report from DB claims the Spanish giants could sign Julian Draxler in January, as it looks like Pogba won’t be leaving Old Trafford at the turn of the year. PSG are also understood to be eager to offload Draxler and recoup the €40 million they spent to sign him from Wolfsburg in 2017.
So far Draxler has made 120 appearances for the Parisians since joining them, scoring 20 goals and providing 25 assists. This season, though, the 26-year-old started in PSG’s first two Ligue 1 matches before a foot injury got him sidelined.
Ever since his days in Germany, Draxler was a great player, taking his game to the next level with Wolfsburg. Even though he’s been unable to become a star in Paris, the German international can still bring a lot of good things to any team that decides to go for him.
If Madrid decide to go for his signature, they could be getting a fine addition to the squad. Moreover, he could come at a much lower price than Pogba.
