LeBron James has been a basketball phenom since long before his days in the NBA. His journey to NBA fame started in Ohio, where a young LeBron grew up and developed his game.

As he played for the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish, his name and legacy became famous. Following 16 years in the NBA, a relic from those same St. Vincent days is being valued at over $180,000.

Per Caitlyn Holroyd at the Score:

The jersey was worn by a then-17-year-old James for his 2002 cover shoot with Sports Illustrated and for the majority of his junior season, according to Goldin Auctions.

The time James spent in this jersey is still an enigma to professional sports. Nobody has been quite as hyped-up at such a young age. From the beginning, LeBron has been the face of basketball.

The price of that jersey only shows how that impact has grown over time. Hard to think that his time in the league is already almost nearly up.
