Zlatan Ibrahimovic is having a great season in the Major League Soccer, even drawing attention from some of the best clubs in Europe, with the Swedish player hinting he could return to the old continent for one last ride.

It’s not a secret that Ibra enjoyed the best years of his career in Italy, playing with the best three clubs in the boot, Juventus, Inter and AC Milan during a trophy-laden career. The striker’s contract with Los Angeles Galaxy is set to expire this December, which has sparked any kind of rumors about his future.

The player himself spoke about a potential return to the Serie A, weeks after he claimed he could help Manchester United improve their level. Now, Italian sides are reportedly battling it out to bring the forward back to the league.

Calcio Mercato claim that several clubs are on the hunt for Ibra, starting from Napoli, the first club among the sides interested. This comes as no surprise after Carlo Ancelotti publicly expressed his admiration for the striker.

Inter have also been part of the rumors after Alexis Sanchez went down with an injury, but they have plenty of assets in the attack, so landing Ibrahimovic would be rather unnecessary for them. Besides, the report mentions another former club in Milan, but this idea was dismissed by Zlatan, who told Gazetta (via Football Italia) that the Rossoneri were a ‘disaster’.

A dark horse to land Ibra could be Bologna, who aren’t as big as the three aforementioned and currently sit 13th in Serie A. The relationship between Zlatan and the club’s manager Sinisa Mihajlovic could help the struggling team.

Zlatan is 38 right now, but that doesn’t seem to be a problem for him, and all these rumors only fuel the speculation around the Swedish, who may have one final challenge left in him.
