Real Madrid are linked with big names right now, but Los Blancos could take different paths next summer. They are ready to make a big splash next year following a rough start to the season, despite having spent over €300 million in players this past transfer window.

Moreover, Zinedine Zidane’s side know they must raise the bar, with some reports claiming one of Paris Saint-Germain duo of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe might be making his way to the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of this season. These two have been on the club’s radar for quite some time now, but they aren’t the only option for the Spanish giants.

Now Real have apparently turned their attention to a different player in Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling, but that move will be expensive for them.

According to Calciomercato, via Diario Gol, it’s suggested that whether Madrid can’t sign either Kylian Mbappe or Neymar, they could turn their attention to Sterling instead.

However, this move would cost them around €200 million and so it will take a huge bid from Los Blancos to persuade City to let their star go. Sterling has been great for the Sky Blues ever since he landed from Liverpool, bagging 81 goals and 70 assists in 204 appearances for the club.

He’s been in great form for several years now and he was linked with Madrid at some point during the summer, so these rumors won’t stop any time soon. Yet, it remains to be seen if going to Spain is a challenge Sterling would be interested in, but Manchester should be worried that the Real are interested, and linked, with the forward.
