It’s not a secret that Real Madrid aren’t going through their best moment right now, and that situation has prompted plenty of fans to ask for changes to try and see if things get better for the Spanish giants shortly.
Zinedine Zidane’s future with the team is up in the air and there are several candidates to take over from the Frenchman at the Santiago Bernabeu. Moreover, to turn things around, the club will need to reinforce their ranks, and there are big names linked with them for the next summer transfer window.
Two names that are getting more attention to land in the Spanish capital are Jose Mourinho, as the new boss of the team, and Kylian Mbappe, who would become the leader of the squad, trying to fill the void Cristiano Ronaldo left when he joined Juventus last year.
Luis Campos, Mourinho’s former assistant believes Jose Mourinho and Kylian Mbappe will cross paths with Real Madrid at some stage. Campos currently works with Ligue 1 side Lille as a sporting director, but he feels his close friend will return to Madrid soon.
“Real Madrid are a good thing. Jose Mourinho is a good thing. When we mix two good things together you get better results,” he told El Chiringuito.
“Real Madrid needs to have the best managers and Mourinho’s CV gives him the right to work in the best clubs.”
Besides tipping Mou to return to the Los Blancos bench, he dared to say the Portuguese boss will get Mbappe with him.
“I think he will end up at Real Madrid,” he added.
“If he wants to be the best player in the world, he has to play for Real Madrid.
“It is unavoidable that they run into each other.”
With all this Zidane situation and the rumors suggesting Los Blancos would try to make a huge splash next summer to sign Mbappe, it’s not crazy that Campos thinks this way. Madrid are keen to come back to their best form, and these two guys could be the answer to their problems.
