Real Madrid are keen to sign Fabian Ruiz and they aren’t holding anything back in their attempts to lure the midfielder away from Napoli. Having in mind that their archrivals Barcelona are also in the hunt to sign Ruiz, Madrid have reportedly stepped up to beat the Blaugrana for this transfer.

According to Don Balon, Real’s first offer for Ruiz was just of €20 million, one that had no chance of being accepted by the Parthenoppeans, as Napoli are asking €120 million for the midfielder’s signature.

However, now things look better for Los Blancos, who have returned with an improved bid for Ruiz. It’s noted that Real have now paired that €20 million fee with midfielder Isco to persuade Napoli, who are reportedly considering saying yes to this new offer. Madrid are ready to move fast to sign the 23-year-old and beat Barcelona for the player’s signature according to The Guardian.

Ruiz may be the addition Madrid need to improve their midfield, following months of rumors linking them with Paul Pogba and Christian Eriksen to take over at the Santiago Bernabeu. Modric, Kroos, and Casemiro haven’t exactly been in stellar form since the start of last season, with the club desperate to make new additions to avoid another campaign like the one they endured last year.

Isco hasn’t been the best player for Madrid for quite some time now, so it would be good for him to get a change of air while going to play in a team that won’t pressure him as much as Madrid do. Real supporters wouldn’t mind seeing him leaving the club, more knowing that they can get Fabian Ruiz in exchange for the struggling attacking midfielder.
