The NBA has fined the Los Angeles Clippers $50,000 for Doc Rivers’ comments on Kawhi Leonard and his health status. Leonard sat Wednesday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks for load management, but this created a problem for the team that was fined one day later.
The league announced the fine releasing a memo on Thursday, attributing it to the words of head coach Doc Rivers, that were considered ‘inconsistent’ with the player’s real health status.
These practices have drawn a lot of criticism to the Clippers, their coach and somehow Kawhi, who didn’t play in another national-televised game on Wednesday night.

“The NBA has fined the Clippers $50,000 for statements, including by head coach Doc Rivers, that were inconsistent with Leonard’s health status,” the memo reads.
Nobody knows how this whole ‘load management’ thing is going to end, but this is creating a lot of trouble for several people around the league.
