Liverpool could reportedly be offered the chance to sign one of four Real Madrid players, as Los Blancos remain interested in one of their biggest figures. Madrid have been linked with Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk over the past couple of weeks and now the Spanish giants might be closer to sign him.

The Netherlands international has been a world-class performer for the Reds, which has put him as a great option to replace Sergio Ramos at the Bernabeu. Real will need to step up their game if they want to make this move happen, as Liverpool don’t have any interest in parting ways with Virgil.

According to Diario Gol, Madrid will try to offer the Reds the chance to sign one of Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, Isco or Marco Asensio in exchange for Van Dijk. While the 28-year-old would be a huge loss for Liverpool, there’s no doubt Bale, Modric, Isco or Asensio could add something to Klopp’s squad.

Modric is aging and seemingly past his peak, but he’s a guy that can still help any team to organize and control their midfield, as well as a proven winner with experience in the Premier and Champions League.

Bale is also a pacey goal-scorer who could add depth up front for the Merseysiders and also knows the league. The problem here is that Isco and Asensio don’t look particularly needed at Anfield right now.

Time will tell if Madrid can pull off this move, but they’re offering four good players in exchange for arguably the best defender in the world. We’ll see how this thing develops, but right now they don’t look with many chances to land Van Dijk.
