Juventus have known how to surprise fans in recent years with their transfers. The Zebras don’t look like they’re done with their business yet.
Following the acquires of Cristiano Ronaldo and Matthijs de Ligt, Juve are ready to make a huge splash and sign one of the biggest names in the football world at this moment.
According to Tuttosport, they are readying a move for Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe. It’s noted that they are preparing an ‘operation’ to land the French forward, as there are big obstacles to make this move a reality.
Curiously, this has nothing to do with finances, as Juventus count with the funds to afford a potential move for Mbappe and can sell other players to raise even more money. However, the biggest obstacle here appears to be PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
PSG don’t need to sell their stars to sign new ones and that was visible during the summer of 2017, when they paid 222 million euros to trigger Neymar’s release clause in Barcelona, as well as paying €180 million to sign Mbappe from Monaco.
Now Juventus are trying to find a way to persuade Al-Khelaifi to part with Mbappe and make the Frenchman snub a move to Real Madrid and join them instead. Kylian has been seen as the perfect replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo at the Allianz Stadium, which is why the Bianconeri are ready to go at it for his signature.
Nevertheless, with competition from Real Madrid, and Liverpool according to some reports, Juve will have to step up if they want to land one of the most exciting youngsters in the world.
