In just his second year in the NBA, at 20-years-old, Luka Doncic is taking the world by storm. As he breaks records and averages 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists per game, it is clear that Luka is becoming one of the league’s best players.
While most are shocked by his performance, there is at least one guy who called it before Doncic ever even touched an NBA court.
Back in 2017, fellow European basketball star Goran Dragic put the NBA on notice about the up and coming young superstar named Luka Doncic:
“He’s gonna be the best player in Europe in a couple of years. Trust me on that. The NBA too. He’s a born winner. I’m not kidding… Mark my words. He’s going to be one of the best in the whole world.”

Of course, back then, nobody could have seen what he’d become. Two years later, though, and it seems Dragic’s prediction was pretty spot on. Luka is dominating and his team has been among the best in the West this season with a 10-5 record.
It’s hard to say if he can keep up this unbelievable pace but, so far, he hasn’t given us any reason to doubt.
