Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard has revealed which player he’d like to see join him in Los Blancos. The Belgium international arrived in the Spanish capital this summer, but so far he’s struggled to find a proper form in Zinedine Zidane’s squad.
Now, the former Chelsea star revealed he wants the club to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe. Despite his age, 20, Mbappe has made sure to draw a lot of attention to him, which is why the most powerful clubs in Europe are keeping tabs on him, trying to strike a deal for the wonderkid.
He’s seen as one of the finest players on earth right now, and given his lofty reputation, Real are understood to be keen on bringing Mbappe to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Speaking to Le Parisien, Hazard insisted that the Frenchman is on the way to call himself the best player in the world, and he would be prepared to do whatever it takes to sign him.
“In a few years, he will certainly be the best player in the world,” Hazard claimed. “This title, there are a lot of players who fight for it, but if he continues like this, Kylian will be one of the greatest footballers in the history of the world.
“A footballer constantly dreams of playing alongside the best. If tomorrow I could bring Kylian to Real Madrid, I would try. But not only is it not just me who can decide this, on top of that I don’t even think I would be asked for my opinion.”
Even though Eden is rooting for his team to sign Kylian, Paris Saint-Germain remain determined to keep the 20-year-old as part of their ranks. Moreover, L’Equipe state that negotiations over a new deal are continuing well since PSG sporting director Leonardo made it clear that retaining Mbappe is the club’s biggest priority at this moment.
His current contract runs through 2022, and Mbappe has stated he’d like to seek new challenges eventually. If he signs a new multi-year deal, that would be hard to do, so the player has the last word on this matter.
