AC Milan might be raising the bar for their signings shortly, as the Rossoneri have reportedly set their sights on one Real Madrid star that hasn’t seen a lot of action with Los Blancos.
According to Milan News, the Serie A giants could be lining up a move for Serbian striker Luka Jovic as an alternative to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The report adds that Madrid could let the player go on loan in January, and Milan could be a good destination for them, given how good they’ve been for young players in recent times. For instance, Krzysztof Piatek was one of the biggest surprises in European football last season, and Jovic could have a similar fate if he joins the Serie A side.
Jovic has only scored one goal in 11 appearances for Zinedine Zidane’s side so far this season, playing the majority of games coming off the bench after joining Los Blancos for an initial fee of €65 million this summer, as per The Guardian.
Milan certainly need some help to improve their season, as Stefano Pioli’s had no luck with the Rossoneri since taking over from Marco Giampaolo. Maybe a short stay away from Madrid is what Jovic needs to get things back on track, especially with the spotlight that comes with playing for Los Blancos.
Still, going to play with Milan isn’t easy, either, as the pressure to join the seven-time Champions League winners is also big.
