Kyle Kuzma is getting a first-hand experience of what it’s like to be a Laker.
With LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and revitalized title hopes, the city has electrified around the purple and gold and their dominance this season.
Similarly, the haters are making a lot of noise as well, and it seems as though the Lakers are getting scrutinized more than ever before.
So, as a guy in the middle of it all, Kuzma responded to the hate, explaining that it may be a result of jealousy.
“Everybody is just going to say something about us just because we’re the Lakers and we’re winning. A lot of people are probably jealous of us.”
For being a high-market, social media “golden boy” franchise, the Lakers have always generated a lot of attention — both positive and negative. These past few years, when the Lakers have struggled to put together meaningful stretches, they were seeing the worst of these haters.
With the team good now, it’s only natural that folks try to bring them down. Kuzma, and seemingly every other player on the team, isn’t really letting them to their heads. They’re winning, they’re together, and they’re having a blast while doing it.
