Despite having a very good season with Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar hasn’t stopped being linked with a move away from France, with Barcelona said to be his next destination if he leaves the French capital.

This is nothing new, as the forward was heavily linked with a move away throughout the summer.

Yet, the Brazilian star has ruled out a potential departure from the Parc des Princes, especially knowing PSG’s ambitions in the Champions League this season.

Neymar told France Football’s Antoine Bourlon and Thierry Marchand (h/t MailOnline’s James Ayles):

“Why would you want to leave here?

“I still have two years on my contract, the team is continuing to progress. We have to stay focused on this season to do things well and win as many titles as possible.

“This season, the goal is the Champions League. My priority is PSG, with maximum involvement each week.

“The goal is to always win the next game. In every game, we have to fight for the club. That’s how I see it.”

After making his move to Paris in 2017, Ney didn’t have the best times with Les Parisiens, struggling with injuries and off-court controversies. Nevertheless, that has changed this season, where he’s been recovering his best form, scoring crucial goals and providing assists to his teammates.

In the summer, PSG sporting director Leonardo confirmed there had been talks between PSG and Barcelona, and the French side was prepared to let him leave. That didn’t come to fruition, but the rumors are still there. Yet, Ney is apparently happy right where he is.
