Mauricio Pochettino just left Tottenham Hotspur, but the Argentinian boss could be returning to the sidelines shortly. Even before he was sacked by Spurs, Poch was followed by some of the biggest clubs in Europe and now that he’s free, several clubs are ready to go at it for his signature.

One of the biggest candidates to sign Pochettino are Real Madrid, but things won’t be that easy for them. The Spanish giants were keen to strike a deal with the Argentinian tactician so he would be ready to step in and succeed Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu.

However, according to The Sun, the former Tottenham manager snubbed their offer as he also wants to return to the Premier League. Moreover, only two jobs in England are appealing for the former midfielder, Manchester United and champions City.

He was already linked with a move to United and is now considered the frontrunner to become their new boss. Further, recent reports suggest Manchester City have plans to replace Pep Guardiola with Pochettino if the Spaniard decides to call it time with the Citizens at the end of the season.

Going to Manchester with the financial muscle they have is an option that excites Poch.

City’s poor run of form in recent days has sparked rumors about Pep’s future at the Etihad. That, added to Mikel Arteta’s departure to Arsenal has increased the suspects that Guardiola might walk.
