The shocking dominance of the Dallas Mavericks this season are, no doubt, largely a result of second-year forward, Luka Doncic.
Despite being just 20-years-old, the Slovenian prospect has emerged as one of the league’s top players with season averages of 29 points, 8.9 assists, and 9.6 rebounds. In short, he has been absolutely dominant through 25 games this season.
As a result, he is earning the attention of not only the fans and media but of big-time sports brands, including Jordan. In a tweet by Dallas sports reporter Brad Townsend, talks between Luka and the infamous Jordan brand have “heated up” in recent days/weeks.
No, has not signed, but talks have “heated up,” I’m told. https://t.co/t8toFeM3mi

Currently, Jordan brand sponsors 21 active players, including Zion Williamson, Chris Paul, Jimmy Butler, Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin, and Russell Westbrook. Luka would join some of the game’s best in representing the esteemed brand.
But there are likely other suitors for Doncic, who is young, energetic, international, and very, very good. Though a partnership with Jordan seems likely in the end, don’t be shocked to see another name enter the race for Luka
Regardless, the young superstar has earned a big-time deal — and it’s almost shocking he doesn’t have on already.
