Wanda Nara, Mauro Icardi’s wife, keeps making headlines and not for good reasons. Icardi and his wife have been one of the most controversial duos in football in recent years, talking about anything without any filter.

They don’t seem to be stopping anytime soon, though, and Wanda’s recent claims on Romelu Lukaku have stirred the pot once again. Icardi left Inter to join Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, in a move that worked out good for everybody.

The Argentinian striker is doing good things alongside Neymar and Kylian Mbappe at the Parc des Princes, demonstrating he really needed a change of air.

Inter, meanwhile, landed Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United. The Belgium international has created a great association with Lautaro Martinez, netting goals with extreme ease.

Nevertheless, Wanda is still convinced nobody can beat the things her husband did at the Giuseppe Meazza and took a dig at Lukaku. A recent report from Calciomercato has looked at some of her comments on one of their recent shows.

When a fan was praising Lukaku for his big performances with Inter and his unselfishness, Nara was quick to defend Icardi.

“It will be nice to see him scoring in important matches. In the Champions League, he couldn’t score at big moments and now he will watch the knockout stage in front of the TV. You can criticize Icardi all you want but the truth is that the last number nine to score 120 odd goals for Inter is Icardi and no one else.”

Perhaps she has a point there, but that’s not precisely true. If you’ve seen Mauro play sometime, you probably realized he is a selfish player. Added to that, the circus that he provides off the pitch probably isn’t worth it and that’s the main reason why the Nerazzurri decided to part with the 26-year-old.
