We’re only 4 days away from finishing the year and the decade. This is the perfect moment to take a look back and see all the good moments these 10 years left us. Football is not exempt from that and one fan made sure to recall all the crazy moments we lived all these years.

A video called ‘The Decade in Football’ has gone viral, showing the most important moments we witnessed this decade. Twitter user @utdBrett released a video of clips from 2010 to 2019 that documents the biggest events from every year.

It gathered the most iconic moments of the decade, starting from Inter Milan and their Champions League victory under Jose Mourinho. The Italian had to beat the all-powerful Barcelona in semi-finals to earn a spot against Bayern Munich in the big game. Diego Milito’s double completed the miracle for the Nerazzurri in a magical afternoon at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Leicester City and their underdog history were another great moment to see this decade.

One of the most memorable championships runs in England occurred in 2013, when Sir Alex Ferguson took Manchester United to win their 20th Premier League title in his final year at Old Trafford.

A year before that, Sergio Aguero starred one of the most dramatic moments in football history. The Argentinian’s last-minute strike for Manchester City against QPR saw them rip the title from United’s hands at the last second in 2012.

The Lionel Messi-Cristiano Ronaldo rivalry also had a special place in the video. Messi scored several goals to help Barcelona win a lot of titles, while Cristiano had a key role in Real Madrid back-to-back-to-back Champions League wins.

On the international front, Germany’s 7-1 demolishing of Brazil at the 2014 World Cup stands out. Brazil had everything to become World champions at home, but the Germans had different plans, thrashing them in the semis before beating Argentina in the final.

Remembering the things we saw this year, it’s mandatory to talk about Liverpool’s spectacular comeback over Barcelona at Anfield. They defeated Barca 4-0 to progress to the Champions League Final, which they went on to win against Tottenham.

It was a magical decade with plenty of good and shocking moments. We hope the next one brings us more iconic moments in the beautiful game.
