The alarms are set at Anfield, as reports from French suggest European giants Paris Saint-Germain have approached Liverpool manager about the prospect of becoming their new boss soon.
According to the Daily Express via French outlet Le10Sport Klopp spoke with PSG chiefs for an hour on a phone call, though they add that Klopp didn’t act on the Parisians’ interest in his services, indicating he’s happy right where he is.
This report is very surprising since just a couple of weeks ago Klopp signed a new deal with the Reds that will keep him in Merseyside through 2024.
They also added that the Ligue 1 side made contact with former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri over the possibility of taking over at the Parc des Princes as an alternative to Klopp.
Le10Sport claim that PSG sporting director Leonardo spoke to Klopp, breaking down the kind of project he’d like in place with the French giants over the next couple of years.
The German boss is certainly the most in-demand manager in the world right now after all the good things he’s done with Liverpool both in England and abroad. Liverpool are the current Champions League winners and are on the way to win the Premier League trophy for the first time in history.
It’s not a surprise that a host of teams want to acquire his services, but he’s stated over and over he’s happy with Liverpool, and to be honest, who wouldn’t.
