Ever since his days at Borussia Dortmund, Pierre-Emerick has been one of the most prolific scorers in the world, so there’s no wonder why he’s always been linked with a move to some of the biggest clubs in the world.

That’s why it came as a bit of a surprise when he announced his move to Arsenal, considering the Gunners were struggling to win titles and there was some interest from Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Barcelona back then.

And now that Arsenal continues to go through a rough path, the Gabon international was once again linked with a move out of North London, with Barcelona and Internazionale allegedly interested in making a move for him.

However, the striker was quick to shut down any rumors about his potential departure – at least for the time being – reassuring his commitment with the Gunners and their project:

“The English press likes to talk a lot. For now, I’m here. I’m 100% here,” Aubameyang told RMC Sport.

Arsenal went back to their winning ways under coach Mikel Arteta following Unai Emery’s sacking, as Freddie Ljumberg clearly wasn’t ready to step up as their full-time boss.

The Gunners are still nine points out of the top-four but showed some glimpses of great football amid Arteta’s arrival, so there’s still some hope that the Gunners can clinch a UEFA Champions League berth for next season.

Aubameyang is one of the best strikers in the world and there’s no doubt he could have a bigger shot at a European trophy elsewhere, but it looks like he’ll continue to give the Gunners a chance to thrive.

However, it’ll be difficult to keep him at the Emirates Stadium ahead of next season if he continues to perform the way he’s played this season and the Gunners fail to make it to the UCL.
