Ja Morant put the world on notice Tuesday night, dropping 26 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds in a win over the 5th seeded Houston Rockets. In what was a viral performance from Ja, the way in which he was scoring the ball last night was more impressive than the stat-line itself.
He was doing everything — attacking the basket, scoring off the dribble, and knocking it down from the perimeter. He’s been doing this all season long, and it seems he is on track to earn the 2020 NBA Rookie of the Year award.
With folks officially on notice, one league analyst (ESPN’s Seth Greenberg) went so far as to say Ja will have a better career than Mr. Incredible himself, Zion Williamson.
Seth Greenberg calls Ja Morant ‘The Patrick Mahomes of the NBA’
“His career will far surpass Zion Williamson’s.”

Coming out of Duke, Williamson was hailed as the next great NBA superstar. Unfortunately, due to injury, we haven’t seen a single minute of Williamon’s game on the professional court.
Meanwhile, Morant is stealing the show in Memphis, leading his team to a shocking 8th place standing in the West as he finds himself in a nightly highlight reel.
No matter your opinions on Morant, Zion, or Greenberg, you have to admit that this kid is something special.
