Anthony Davis just had the game of his life against the Jazz on Monday. In the 116-108 defeat, he dropped 42 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists, making him just the first Laker since Kobe Bean Bryant to total at least twenty 20 -point halves.
After the game, AD reacted to his performance, and it made the whole thing that much more special.
“I just got chills. … to be in a category with [Kobe Bryant], I know he’s looking down on us and cheering us on, so we want to do it for him.”

Anthony Davis isn’t just putting up similar numbers as Bryant, he’s also helping the Lakers live-up to the times in which Bryant led them.
After L.A.’s statement victory today, they’ve looked better than they have in years. Davis’ presence is no doubt a huge reason why. And now, to be included in the same company as Kobe, it is clear that Anthony Davis is destined for great things in L.A.
As for this summer, in particular, we’ll see soon enough if AD’s heroics will be enough to earn them a Chip. One has to think that if he’s got more game slike tonight in him, it’s only a matter of time before that Larry O’Brien finds its way back the city.
