Damian Lillard was lighting it up in Orlando, as he led the Blazers through a hard-fought battle against the L.A. Clippers. He put up 22 points and 5 assists, talking trash the whole way…

Despite his heroics, however, Portland was unable to come away with the win and they lost for the second time since the bubble game seedings began. Worse still, it was his misses at the line that cost them an opportunity to take a late lead. After he missed two potentially game-winning free throws, the Clippers bench (including Bev) taunted him.

But the battle didn’t end on the court. After the game, the two sides just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to throw a few more jabs at each other.

It all started with some comments by Dame. After he was asked about Bev during the post-game presser, he explained why he wasn’t breaking a sweat, citing that he had already eliminated both Beverley and PG in the postseason already.

The beef continued further in the comments…

Damian: “I sent Pat Bev home before.. PG just got sent home by me last year in the playoffs”

PG: “And you getting sent home this year 🤣 respect✊🏾”

Dame Responds: keep on switching teams … running from the grind. You boys is chumps.”

Pat Bev: “Cancun on 3😂😂😂”

When it comes to this season, there is no question that PG, Bev, and the Clippers have the upper-hand over Lillard’s Trail Blazers. The Clips are sitting comfortably atop the West standings while Dame and his team are still having to fight for a spot in the playoffs.

But what Dame said about the past is also true. He has defeated both George and Bev in the playoffs before, so beating isn’t something he’s a stranger to.

Whatever the case, and whoever’s side you’re on, watching these two teams face each other in the postseason would be an absolutely amazing matchup. Let’s just hope things work out that way…
