Jusuf Nurkic didn’t miss the chance to take a jab at Paul George after Damian Lillard’s stellar performance on Sunday night. Dame dropped 51 points on the Philadelphia 76ers, taking the Portland Trail Blazers half a game closer to the 8th seed Memphis Grizzlies.

Nurkic saw the chance and took it, sending a message to the Los Angeles Clippers small forward for the comments he made last season after the Blazers eliminated George’s Oklahoma City Thunder.

Nurkic was asked about Lillard’s impressive game, as to what he replied:

“He’s just taking bad shots, right? Simple as that. Luckily for us, he makes most of them,” Nurk said after noting that he would take Damian Lillard shooting free throws for his team any time.

Last year, after Damian hit a game-winning 3 over George, the then Thunder player claimed that was a bad shot, regardless of the final outcome.

“Yeah, that’s a bad shot. I don’t care what anybody says. That’s a bad shot. But, hey, he made it. That story will be told that it was a bad shot and you live with that,” George said back then.

Nurkic, Lillard and co. are ready to clinch that 8th seed, the last playoff spot available in the NBA. A lot of people believe the Blazers can upset the Lakers in the first round of the postseason and seeing how inspired Lillard, Anthony and the rest of the team is, they can make some noise in the playoffs. The journey won’t be easy but they’re confident in their chances.
