This is Gregg Popovich’s first non-playoff season since 1996-97. Salute to Pop on a great run ✊ pic.twitter.com/nbv4uCdt0r

The last time the Spurs didn’t make the playoffs, it was during the 1996-97 season. It’s truly unbelievable.

Obviously, the lass marks the end of an era for the Spurs. And, with no clear direction for their future, nobody really knows what will happen to them in the weeks and months to come.
Is this the end of Popovich’s coaching career? Will San Antonio trade their veterans and initiate a rebuild? Things are going to change for the Spurs and this could be the start of a clean slate for them.
Regardless, we shouldn’t be quick to forget what they’ve been able to accomplish all these years.
