The Brooklyn Nets have made headlines with the early play of their star duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. However, with Kyrie Irving sitting out games, the trade rumors have been swirling around his name. Kyrie Irving would be a valuable player to any franchise, as he is a point guard who has no flaws in his on-court game.
One of the superstars currently on the trade market is James Harden, Kevin Durant’s former teammate. The Brooklyn Nets look like one of the finalists of the James Harden sweepstakes. Legion Hoops recently put out a tweet claiming that the Brooklyn Nets would be willing to send out four first-round picks for James Harden.

This move would be mortgaging the Nets’ franchise future on the potential of an instant championship with Kevin Durant, James Harden, and possibly Kyrie Irving depending on the agreed-upon trade. The potential of a championship should intrigue the Nets to make a move for one of the best scorers in the league. People won’t necessarily care about how the picks turn out if the Nets win a championship. James Harden could be an elite player alongside Durant and perhaps win his first ring.
While there is no concrete deal, it seems that the Rockets will try to agree to a deal for James Harden sooner rather than later. The Nets will be one of the candidates to acquire him, so all we can do is wait for some news on the situation.
