Luka Doncic propelled his Dallas Mavericks over the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night with a great performance. The Slovenian player is doing a lot of good things this season, bringing the Mavs back to life with his game. Right now they are 16-16 after their big win over one of the best teams in the league.
Following the game, Doncic was praised by the Nets’ head coach Steve Nash, who talked very well about the 22-year-old ability to score, to assist his teammates, and even to draw foul, one of Luka’s most criticized aspects of his game.
“You look at Luka, he poses every challenge in the book. He scores, he draws fouls, he makes plays for teammates at an incredibly elite level,” Nash said.

James Harden also had a couple of good things to say about the young player, congratulating the Mavericks for getting a big one in Luka, expected to be one of the biggest players in the league in the future. The Beard talked about the similarities between him and Doncic, agreeing that he sees a lot of himself in the European player.
“There are some similarities. He never lets anyone speed him up, and he gets what he wants. That’s rare for a guy at a young age. I think he’s 21 years old. And to be able to dictate the game and control the game like he does, we all know he has a very, very bright future,” Harden said, via Eurohoops. “The Mavs got a special one.”
it was a really good night for the Mavericks, who are now at .500 in the Western Conference, hoping to get better and keep climbing positions to make it to the postseason. Doncic has been compared with a lot of people recently, including Larry Bird, but he’s not too worried about that. This kid is something special and as long as they have him on the roster, Dallas will have a chance to compete against anybody.
