The Los Angeles Lakers aren’t going through a great stretch right now, as they struggle to get the results in the early weeks of the 2021/22 NBA season. The purple and gold are trying to find their touch after a very busy offseason.

They traded for Russell Westbrook and reshaped the roster, signing several veterans to assemble a championship-contending squad. They did look on paper, but so far, the Lakers can’t find consistency which has hurt them in the first part of the season. Right now, they boast a 5-5 record, ranking 10th in the Western Conference.

The alarms are set at Staples Center and things could get worse if they don’t turn this situation around before it’s too late. On Saturday night, when the 17-time NBA champions were dominated by the Portland Trail Blazers, LeBron James looked stressed in the 2nd quarter of the game.

Fans made fun of James looking at his watch, implying he couldn’t wait to get home and forget about his team’s performance. But, that wasn’t the only explanation people found for this sequence.

NBA County shared a series of photos recalling the time the Cleveland Cavaliers traded a bunch of players for a bunch of players, reshaping the 2018 roster. They ‘predicted’ that LeBron could do the same this year if the Lakers don’t show any improvement.

“Last time LeBron looked this stressed out about a veteran-filled team, the whole 2018 Cavs core was traded…”

Of course, this didn’t go unnoticed and plenty of fans reacted to that. Some said that after LeBron traded his best friend (Dwyane Wade), he’s willing to ship anybody for his team’s sake.

If he plans to pull another LeGM this year, nobody is safe on the Lakers roster right now. Still, it’s too early in the season to say their offseason moves were bad and they won’t win the championship. Come December, the picture will look better for the Lakers. At that time, we could see what will happen with this struggling team.
