James Ennis Likes Comment That Hopes He Signs With Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers may have acquired a lot of big names during this offseason, such as Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony, and Russell Westbrook. They already had the star duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis on their roster. It seems as though the Los Angeles Lakers are set on their main roster, but depth is also important, and they have some free spots on the roster.

There is no doubt that more depth would only benefit the Los Angeles Lakers, and you never know when you need capable contributors from the end of your bench. We’ve seen how injuries affected some of the top contenders in the playoffs, proving that depth at least has some importance in the postseason.

James Ennis is a wing player who averaged 8.4 PPG while shooting 43.3% from beyond the arc. He’s a solid 3 and D player that could potentially help the Los Angeles Lakers. Recently, Ennis was caught liking a comment that wished for the Los Angeles Lakers to sign him, suggesting that he could be interested in joining the team.

Shooters generally thrive next to Russell Westbrook and LeBron James, and it looks as though that wouldn’t be different with James Ennis. Ennis is a very capable floor spacer, and along with the other shooters that the Los Angeles Lakers have signed, it seems as though Westbrook and James will have plenty of room to drive to the basket and finish at the rim. There’s no question that Ennis would be an amazing fit.

While it remains to be seen whether the Los Angeles Lakers sign James Ennis, it seems as though adding a shooter on the veteran minimum is of little risk and high reward. Regardless of where he signs though, hopefully, James Dennis is able to get the best opportunity for himself as he is fully capable of still playing in the league.
