NBA Fans Debate On LeBron James’ Legacy: ‘Is It Fair To Judge LeBron’s Legacy Off This?’

2 Min Read

LeBron James is clearly one of the people that could be considered the GOAT, but there are always people questioning his legacy. LeBron James has a 4-6 Finals record, which means he has been to 10 NBA Finals, an astoundingly large amount. While he does have a negative Finals record, he shouldn’t be penalized for his ability to bring his team there in the first place.

Recently, Twitter user @currypiston shared some graphics from LeBron James’ second stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The graphics showed some of LeBron James’ teammates from his era and superteams that he has had to face. It is clear from the graphics that the teams LeBron James has had to face had far more talent than some of his Cleveland teams.

Instagram page Dunk made a post featuring the Tweet and posed the question: “Is it fair to judge LeBron’s legacy off this?”. NBA Fans reacted to the question, and some expressed support for LeBron James, while others brought up other Finals where he faced lesser opposition.

The legacy of LeBron James is always a hot debate, but that comes with the territory of being a candidate for the GOAT title. LeBron James has faced a lot of strong teams in the Finals, but he has also faced some other teams that had less talent in comparison: a lot of people brought up his loss to Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks during the 2010-2011 season. At the end of the day, LeBron still managed to get teams with subpar talent to the NBA Finals. That alone speaks volumes of his greatness and how much he makes his teammates better.
