LeBron James has demonstrated he’s very loyal to the people he wants, always helping them in any way he can, trying to push those around him to be better at whatever they want to do in life; the King has been a bright light for a lot of people and that didn’t start when he entered the NBA.

James always had this sense that his friends were important to him and he never hesitated to stand up for them when he felt it was necessary. During an old interview, one of his former teammates in high school revealed a great story about LeBron and how much he cared about his teammates. When he was in high school, the player received a huge invitation for the All-American High School camp, a very attractive camp for any young player in America.

However, LeBron decided to decline the invitation, citing a very surprising reason. He didn’t go to the camp since none of his teammates at St. Vincent-St. Mary were invited and that was it for the player.

He was still considered a lottery pick in the NBA draft so that decision didn’t affect his career in the end. Instead, it showed how great he was as a teammate and what he was willing to do to show his loyalty to those around him.

Flash forward, we know he’s incredibly successful, set to make $1 billion, and is still helping his friends to succeed in life. LeBron is really something else both on and off the court and these stories only confirm that.
