Nikola Jokic is usually known in the NBA for his calm and quiet demeanor. But you’d never know it from looking at this video of him celebrating an occasion of some kind in Serbia, where Jokic gets on his chair, with his shirt open, dancing and partying surrounded by a room full of people.

Jokic has had a whirlwind week, with a lot of ups and downs. Last week, he and the Serbian national team lost to Team USA in the Olympic semifinal, in what many believed to be a controversial loss.

Both the Serbian coach and Bogdan Bogdanovic complained about the officiating in the game, and one former referee even said that Serbia deserved to get some of the calls that they didn’t get during the game.

But they put that heartbreak behind them and focused on winning the bronze medal game against Germany. Jokic made history in Serbia’s bronze medal-winning performance, as he put up a triple-double with 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. He is now only the fourth player in Olympic history to register a triple-double at the tournament.

The Serbian national team was given a heroic welcome back to the country, with several members in the crowd serenading Jokic with MVP chants. Jokic was clearly appreciative and having a good time.

But Nikola Jokic wasted almost no time to get back to his passion – horseracing. Jokic was spotted at a horse race in Serbia just one day removed from the parade and was seen sitting around having a drink while taking in the racing.

To see Jokic dancing around with a room full of people surrounding him is interesting, especially considering his father recently revealed that Nikola doesn’t like making new friends, and is fairly introverted. Perhaps it was just a good time for Jokic, who looked like he was having a blast.

Panathinaikos Owner Calls Nikola Jokic The Best After Michael Jordan

Panathinaikos owner Dimitris Giannakopoulosn recently called Nikola Jokic the best player ever after Michael Jordan. It is certainly high praise for Jokic, whom many consider one of the greatest European players in basketball history. But Jokic still has a long way to go in his career before we can make any fair comparisons.

Jokic has been in the NBA for 10 years now, where he was won an NBA championship, Finals MVP, three regular season MVPs, made six All-Star and All-NBA teams in his career. And if the Nuggets are able to build the right team around him, he might win even more accolades before his career is over.

Next season, the Nuggets are not considered one of the outright favorites to win the NBA championship.

The loss of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in free agency is a major blow to their team, and they haven’t found a three-point shooter to replace him just as of yet. But if Jokic performs at the same level that he has the last few years, the Nuggets could actually surprise people and make a deeper run in the playoffs.
