Joy Taylor recently came into the public spotlight after parting ways with Fox Sports. She hosted multiple shows for them, including Speak with NBA Legend Paul Pierce, Undisputed, and even The Herd with Colin Cowherd.
Yet, Fox Sports cancelled multiple shows, including her show with Paul Pierce, and parted ways with the renowned TV figure. Now, weeks after this incident, Taylor has continued to host her podcast, the “Two Personal Show”.
In her most recent episode, where she invited Spicy Mari, the famous relationship expert on her show, Taylor opened up about her personal life and insecurities. When asked what her biggest insecurity was, Taylor was stumped for a few minutes despite it being a rapid-fire round of questioning. Then, after deep thought, Taylor finally broke her silence.
“I’m insecure about my past decisions. I’m insecure about my past decisions in dating, in life, and friendships. So like the things that give me anxiety are like that’s why I said initially like my insecurity is more like emotional like I don’t I don’t really give myself to be insecure like physically like in a way that like impedes me.”
“I’m not a massively insecure person. Like I’ve worked very hard not to be insecure. There’s definitely been times in my life when I’ve been physically insecure… my body obviously, like we all go through that. So I’m not going to act like there wasn’t a point where I was insecure about my body.”
“But I’ve worked very hard to feel good in my body. As I get older, I’m even more comfortable in my body and more unapologetic about that. I am not insecure about my like personality or how I show up in the world.”
Now, at age 38, Taylor has even claimed that she would date a 25-year-old man as long as he is not religious. Seems like her insecurities have driven her to be very specific in her choices in her love life.
Taylor joined Fox Sports in July 2016 and worked with them until the end of her contract in June 2025. She also dated former NBA player Earl Watson in 2018 and was married to Richard Gianotti before that, who was a former baseball player.
Following her exit from Fox Sports, Taylor seemingly announced her retirement from sports media and moved on to lifestyle and entertainment media instead, a much broader field than sports. Considering that the retirement is only a rumor and not confirmed news, we may see Taylor back in the NBA media someday.
