In a viral video for social media, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and other Lakers were asked to guess the player from a piece of a young fan’s handcrafted artwork. The drawing was of LeBron James, and his hairline in the illustration became the subject of many jokes.

“He’s kind of going bald right there in the back so I see the resemblance. That’s what gave it away,” joked Davis. “Everything else, it was tough. But the hair? Right away, Bron.”

LeBron was reluctant to believe it at first but once the truth was revealed, he couldn’t help but spare some words over his misrepresented hairline.

“That is me,” said James in disbelief. “Oh my god that is my hair… oh that is not right! I know I’m losing my hair but d*mm they ain’t have to have me looking like Homer Simpson!”

In case you couldn’t tell, the vibes are immaculate for the Lakers right now and the fact that the players can laugh and joke on each other’s behalf is indicative of a healthy locker room.

As for James himself, he doesn’t like the fact that he’s losing his hair but some might argue that he should be showing it off like a badge of honor. At 39 years old, LeBron isn’t the young superstar he used to be. But even 20+ years in the NBA, James is still one of the best in the world and he’s managed to stave off some of the worst effects of aging.

With unprecedented longevity, LeBron has set the standard for all future athletes and he continues to be a shining example of how far a player can extend his career with hard work, good luck, and the motivation to deviate thousands of hours and dollars to maintain the body.

So, balding or not, LeBron has a lot to be proud of with what he’s doing right now and the Lakers will need him to act without any doubt for the upcoming playoffs, which could be their last chance to win another championship in the LeBron James era.

Los Angeles Lakers Have A Hard Fight Ahead

Judging from the recent video and their energy on the court over the past few games, the Lakers are already in full playoff mode and their quest to save the season has only just begun.

At 8th in the West, the Lakers have seemingly avoided a scenario where they’d have to win back-to-back play-in games as visitors but the road ahead is still just as tough. If the Lakers get the 7th seed, they can look forward to a matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves. If they stay at 8th, it will be a matchup against the 56-25 Thunder with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren, and Jaylen Williams. Of course, it’s also possible the Lakers lose both play-in games and fall out of the playoffs completely.

Whatever lies ahead, the Lakers will be ready for a fight, and they already have experience fighting and winning as the underdog. If they are to get farther this time, they will need a complete and cohesive effort from the entire roster, especially young guard D’Angelo Russell, whose shooting and floor spacing have become a necessity for the Lakers’ success.

If D’Lo and the others can follow LeBron’s lead, it’s sure to reap positive results and it may just unlock the best version of this Lakers team. Either way, this squad will only go as far as LeBron James takes them and, despite what his receding hairline might suggest, he’s still strong enough to get the job done night in and night out.
