One of the most unexpected NBA feuds of 2023 occurred between Spencer Dinwiddie and Kyle Kuzma. Things got ugly between the former teammates, although the beef seemed to have died down recently.

Patrick Beverley asked Dinwiddie about their issues on his podcast, and the Brooklyn Nets man admitted that there are still issues between him and Kuzma.

“If I wasn’t on another hooper’s podcast, I probably wouldn’t even address it,” Dinwiddie said. “You know how it goes in locker rooms, certain things happen. At the time, my agent said I couldn’t say nothing.

“It got to a place where I was tired of hearing about it. And so I said my honest feelings and I don’t walk back what I said.” Pat Beverley then asked him if it’s ‘smoke’ every time they see each other, and Dinwiddie replied, “I’m, yeah.”

He added, “It’s funny though because I’m a guy that don’t have people I have real beef with or anything like that. But nah, he not my friend or nothing.”

Spencer Dinwiddie is now with the Brooklyn Nets, and Kyle Kuzma is with the Washington Wizards. Despite their entire feud occurring a year ago, it would appear that the situation between Dinwiddie and Kuzma is far from resolved.

Kyle Kuzma Destroyed Spencer Dinwiddie With A Huge Social Media Rant

It’s not surprising that Spencer Dinwiddie still has massive problems with Kyle Kuzma. When the two were beefing earlier in the year, Kuzma had some pretty intense things to say about the Nets man.

Kyle Kuzma called Spencer Dinwiddie, ‘Dinshittie’ in his rant, and went on to add some choice insults to that as well.

“What in the world have you won in this league? Lol, you’ve been bounced around like a basketball my boy,” Kuzma said, calling out Dinwiddie’s comments about his championship win.

He also took shots at Dinwiddie personally, saying, “The only way you’ll ever be worth your contract is if the NBA finally gives you your wish of getting paid in crypto *check the markets*.”

With this being the level that their beef descended to, it’s easy to see why there are still hard feelings between Kuzma and Dinwiddie. The Nets vs. Wizards matchups this season promise to be extra spicy.

Spencer Dinwiddie And Kyle Kuzma Will Face Off Twice In 2023

The Brooklyn Nets and the Washington Wizards are both in the Eastern Conference, and as such, this beef will have plenty of time to grow.

The two teams will face one another twice in 2023, with the first matchup coming on November 13th and the second matchup coming around the end of the year on December 30th.

Kyle Kuzma averaged 21.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game and is looking like a borderline All-Star on the Washington Wizards. If he takes the next step at 27 years of age, then he could end up embarrassing Dinwiddie.

Spencer Dinwiddie averaged 16.9 points and 9.1 assists per game for the Brooklyn Nets last season. He, too will be hoping to take another step alongside Ben Simmons and Mikal Bridges in 2023-24, but it’s hard to say whether he will succeed on that front.

While the two aren’t quite stars in the NBA, their beef is an interesting undercurrent to the season. Hopefully, fans get to see some more entertaining shots being fired by the two at one another.
