Still fresh off their loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, many Warriors fans find themselves anxious about the future. Despite the core trio being expected to return next season, the roster may experience some huge changes when it comes to what’s left of the young cast

After February’s trade deadline, James Wiseman was the first up-and-comer to say his goodbyes, and now there is a sense that Jordan Poole could be next.  Speaking on ‘The Draymond Green Show,’ Warriors coach Steve Kerr got real on the sacrifices players must make to win and the championship mentality that is required to be successful in the NBA.

“None of those guys on Miami are sitting there going ‘well I didn’t play’ like they are just all about winning. And you know this from our groups that we’ve had. When you have that championship mentality, every guy is bought-in, every guy is just trying to win. Nobody cares about any of that stuff. You don’t go into the locker room going ‘well I should play more’ you just want to win and that’s the beauty of finding that magic. When you have a championship team, everybody is bought-in and it makes the decisions for the coach really simple. You just go with your gut and go with whoever is playing well.”

The Warriors struggled to find consistency all season long and much of the blame falls on the young core who failed to step up and take the leap like they were supposed to. Kuminga, despite some positive stretches, never quite figured it out. Poole, who is making $30+ million per year, has been arguably the most disappointing Warrior of all and it remains to be seen if he’ll still be on the roster by next season.

What Happened To Jordan Poole?

From a future All-Star to nearly unplayable in the playoffs, Jordan Poole’s career has truly been a wild ride so far, and this past season in particular really really has a lot of people wondering where it all went wrong.

Obviously, JP has nobody but himself to blame, but perhaps the Draymond Green punch back in October did more damage than we thought.

Whatever the case, the Warriors will not just run it back this offseason. With the clock ticking on Stephen Curry’s career, everything must be considered to get this squad where it needs to be.
