Metta Sandiford-Artest was in awe of Jimmy Butler’s pyrotechnics after the latter helped the Miami Heat take a dominant 3-0 lead over the Boston Celtics.

Taking to Twitter in the aftermath of their blowout 128-102 win against the Celtics, Metta wrote, “Jimmy Butler would’ve gave me problems.”

The praise for Butler comes on the back of his scintillating performances for the Heat in the playoffs this season. The forward’s consistency has ensured that Miami is one win away from their second Finals appearance in four years.

When looked at Metta’s praise, the former DPOY was one of the fieriest competitors on the court, and his words can’t be taken lightly when he says Butler would have surely made life difficult for him. While he did say there would be problems, he also made a subtle nod that a win against him would be far-fetched. Trust Metta to not give anything away.

Still, his praise highlights Butler’s dog and greatness — one that will be spoken of long after if he delivers a championship to Miami.

Jimmy Butler Believes This Season Is The Best Chance The Heat Have To Win A Championship

Jimmy Butler wasn’t mincing his words or being short of confidence when he believed that this season was the best bet for the Heat to win a championship.

“This year is our year,” said Butler, according to Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald. “We’re going to go into this Game 1 and do what we’re supposed to do and be the first one to four. We are very capable of it. We have enough. The guys are playing some incredible basketball. I like our chances, as does everyone in this organization.”

The forward has led from the front, averaging 31.1 PPG, 6.6 RPG, and 5.4 APG. It’s clear that he’s on a different plane, and the Heat are the likely favorites to complete a sweep when they meet for Game 4 on Tuesday night.
