Michael Porter Jr. has been on a media spree this season. From outrageous takes on morality to an unfiltered perspective on society, Porter. Jr has had some eye-opening things to say this summer. Most recently, the Nets’ forward claimed that the McDonald’s All-American team he played on could beat WNBA All-Stars of today, even when they were in high school.
He appeared on a Twitch stream that went viral on TikTok and X, where he spoke his mind on the WNBA All-Stars.
“Man, if the WNBA had an All-Star team… If their Olympic team played the McDonald’s Boys All-American High School players, it’s one of them things, bro, you can’t dance around it.”
“At the end of the day, when I was in high school, we were grown men, pretty much. Me, Trae Young, Deandre Ayton, Gary Trent, P.J. Washington… If we played the WNBA All-Star team, that’s…. no disrespect, bro.”
Porter Jr. proceeded to scoff at Plaqueboymax for claiming the game would be within 10 points due to Caitlin Clark. Porter Jr. undoubtedly played in a stacked McDonald’s All-American team. Future NBA talent was stacked on both the East and West teams in 2017. In addition to the names mentioned above, the team also featured players such as Collin Sexton, Mitchell Robinson, Jaren Jackson Jr., and others.
Unfortunately, most NBA fans agreed with him and said that the boys’ team would smoke the WNBA team. But some fans also took the WNBA’s side.

From his takes on NBA gambling, death threats, to his opinions on his parenting and dating life, Porter Jr. has seriously said some out of pocket things this summer. He even called out the men who support an OnlyFans model to earn nearly as much as LeBron James.
If Porter Jr. claimed that these players could beat the WNBA All-Star team today, maybe I would buy that. But this is a bit outrageous to think that professionally trained women would lose to high school boys who have not even trained together.
I understand that the 2018 NBA Draft Class is considered one of the most stacked classes of all time, but at that stage in 2017, I do not believe they could beat WNBA All-Stars and talented players like A’ja Wilson, Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, Napheesa Collier, and Arike Ogunbowale today.
