If you don't win, you lose.
Talk to any NBA superstar, and that's what they'd tell you. They either accomplished what they set out to do or failed to live up to predetermined expectations.
If you ask Michael Jordan, however, you may realize that not evrybody sees it that way.
Here's a quote by former star, BJ Armstrong on MJ's win/loss mindset:
“He would never tell you he lost, he either won, or he learned.”
The point there is, he treated every failure as a learning experience. Every mistake, every flaw, every mishap and screw-up was used to make his game, and the performance of his team stronger. And considering the guy is a six-time NBA Champion, there's got to be some validity to his words.
