Klay Thompson Describes What Music He’ll Listen In The Finals Amid Drake Controversies

Game 1 of the NBA Finals is finally here and fans can help but wonder what this match is going to bring for everybody. The Golden State Warriors travel to Toronto to face the Raptors where a hostile crowd awaits; added to that, the Warriors will have to deal with a guy that has been making some headlines in recent days for his behavior on the court.

Grammy award winner Drake is a superfan of the Toronto Raptors as well as the Global Ambassador of the team, a job which he’s been very involved in, taking his passion for the Raptors to the next level, earning the love of his people and the hate from rival fans. Golden State will have to face the rapper and seeing how popular he is among basketball players, some people wonder how some of them will manage Drake and his music during the series.

For this, Golden State guard and one of the Splash Brothers Klay Thompson has designed a plan.

"If it's a bad song I'll skip it," Thompson responded when asked if he'll mute Drizzy's songs during the series at a press conference.

"If it's one of his hits I'll play it," he said. "I've been a Drake fan since I was in high school. He's a great artist. Do I like him as a Raptor fan? No. But, I like him as a musician. He's extremely talented."

Plus, he said he wasn’t going to skip all of Drake music, he just wants to get in the right mood for the games and some Drake’s songs won’t help him do that, so no Hotline Bling for Klay.

"I'll definitely skip the song if I don't like it," he continued. "And if it's one of his soft, R&B songs I'm skip it because I'm in kill mode right now. I'm trying to get these four games so I'll skip 'Hotline Bling' or anything along that line."

In the past, we’ve seen the Canadian rapper spending his time with Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, but now that his team is going to play the one where his friends play, things are going to be a little different for Drizzy. He knows it and Klay knows it, too, that’s why a simple thing like your pre-game music gains more importance in the big series.
