Shaquille O'Neal is one of the most famous athletes in the world, as the Big Diesel has done everything he's wanted to do. The 4x NBA champion has transcended the game of basketball and has become an important figure in the sports of sports. He even starred in his own television show called 'Shaq vs.' where he faced other challenges in their disciplines. If he won, O’Neal earned the right to say he was better at their sport than them.
The show only had 10 episodes but we could see Shaq doing some interesting things before the end of it. There was one moment when he couldn't do the job against 'Sugar' Sean Mosley, one of the best American boxers in recent times. O'Neal had to train for a week before going against his rivals and this time it wasn't the exception. He took the ring with Mosley and the fight was actually pretty entertaining with some funny moments included.
In the end, O'Neal couldn't beat Mosley, who outboxed him (unsurprisingly) and beat the fight via unanimous decision. You could see Shaq was pissed with the result but he ended up hugging Mosley to wrap things up. That was in 2010 and it didn't work for Shaq at the time. It'd probably work better right now but it's hard to see any network bringing that show back.
Well, at least we have the memory and videos of Shaq going at it against elite athletes.
