Space Jam 2 is currently in the process of being created and the star of the first movie, Michael Jordan, may play a role in the sequel.
Los Angeles Lakers’ recruit, LeBron James, will take the starring role of the movie, following in the footsteps of Michael Jordan again.
According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, MJ fans who are hoping for a cameo appearance of Jordan might be in luck with the six-time champion being in the discussion for a role in the movie.
“Space Jam 2, while a part of the Space Jam franchise, is not considered a sequel, a source familiar with the production told ESPN. However, there have been discussions in involving Michael Jordan in some way. At this point, Jordan’s level of involvement is to be determined.”
Basketball fans all around the world would love nothing more than to see LeBron and Jordan together on the big screen. Michael Jordan was fantastic in the original film and he certainly could return and play a similar role as Bill Murray did where he came in to help save the team.
Even if Jordan is added to the sequel for just a small one scene cameo, fans would still be very excited to see his return.
