Over the last decade, the Jimmy Kimmel Live television program have sent the hilarious reporter and tv personality Guillermo Rodriquez to attend the NBA Finals media day. However, the one difference with Guillermo is that his questions to the Finals participants are anything but serious.

For the first time since 2010, LeBron James is not playing for a team in the Finals meaning that this was the first time in a long time that he didn’t have to attend a media day. One thing that has remained a constant is that LeBron always refused to speak to Guillermo which led to many hilarious moments over the years with Kimmel’s sidekick trying to come up with new ways to get the four-time MVP to talk to him.

To celebrate LeBron’s absence for the Finals, this year Guillermo created a special “Wish you were here” card for Steph Curry to sign and give to LeBron.

Curry had a hilarious response as he actually signed the card to the delight of Guillermo.

While there for the media day in Toronto, Guillermo also attempted to recruit as many Raptors and Warriors players he could to his brand-new expansion team based in Mexico, the Tijuana Piranhas. This too got a great response for the players with many agreeing to be on board the fantasy team including the Raptors’ Kyle Lowry and the Warriors’ Andre Iguodala.
