ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith has come up with many a lot of intriguing ranking lists that usually are a little controversial and he’s done it once again with a new Top 5.

Smith has recently come out with a Top 5 list of the All-Time greatest NBA Duos and as always, there’s many fans who are left frustrated by the choices and rankings.

It’s no surprise to see Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen leading the rankings at Number 1 considering that the pair worked together to achieve 6 championships together. As good as of a player that Jordan really was, most people believe that he wouldn’t have been able to achieve half of the things he did without having Pippen by his side.

Lakers fans would be happy to see that they dominated the second and third spots of the rankings with Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar coming in second and Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal ranked third.

However, there were still many Lakers fans who weren’t satisfied with Kobe and Shaq’s positioning in the Top 5, some believing that they are the greatest duo of all time even though they didn’t get to play too many seasons together.

Smith found it difficult to separate the two duos of Steph Curry and Kevin Durant of the Golden State Warriors and LeBron James and Dwayne of the Miami Heat. It’s left a heated discussion in the comments section from NBA fans. Some believe that LeBron and Wade aren’t one of the best duos considering they lost two Finals where they came into the series as overwhelming favorites. Others believe that Curry and KD shouldn’t even be considered as one of the best duos and instead, it should be replaced with Curry and Klay Thompson who have been playing together for a much longer time.

It all comes down to a matter of an opinion and there really is no incorrect answer when you’re dealing with all these unbelievably talented players.
