The Rockets Have Found A Way To Make Carmelo Anthony Feel Good About Coming Off The Bench

It's not news to anyone that new Houston Rocket Carmelo Anthony isn't a fan of coming off the bench for H-Town this upcoming season.

Anthony straight up refused to do it last season for the Oklahoma City Thunder, even if it was probably for the best, and even though he's begun to take his licks and has surrendered his starting role, apparently it's going to get some getting used to for Melo.

In an effort to try and ease Melo into the sixth man role, the Houston Rockets listed Anthony alongside the starters as the 6th man in their game notes for their game against the Pelicans.

Obviously, Anthony is taking his demotion to the bench harder than most would -- I mean, he has started every game of his career up to this point -- so the Rockets are trying to do the right thing by him and ease him into his new role.

Sure, it may be a little egotistical on Melo's side, as after last season it's debatable whether he should even start or not for the Rockets, but if it helps the chemistry of the team and gets Carmelo back into his New York Knicks form, then everyone's a winner.
