It's hard to say whether some jersey is beautiful or ugly. It's relevant for every one of us and two will hard agree about top 10 nicest jerseys in the NBA history! Also, there are many jerseys that are good, quality, color matching and so on, but they are just average. They have every requirement to be in the top 10, but simply the audience don't like them.

"People often say that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder,' and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder. This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves." - Salma Hayek

So, there will be some disagreeing about this list, like for every top 10 list, but I present you my top 10 nicest and best-looking jerseys in the NBA history!

10. Phoenix Suns (1992-2001)

These jerseys are great ones. We can find here purple color and orange basketball sun streaking across the jersey. Of course, that sun symbolizes Phoenix Suns, but it's giving great contrast on this jersey and killing monotony. Names on the back are in some circular order and it can be confusing for reading a surname when you are too far from the TV or the player live, but it fits in the jersey's style. Phoenix has a similar jersey right now. It's redesigned version of this 90s version.

9. Orlando Magic (1989-1998)

These jerseys may look a bit confused, but they represent a great combination of black backgrounds and white pinstripes. Also, that Star instead of A in Orlando is very nice. Maybe I am a bit nostalgic and everything from the 90s will look to me much better, but honestly I am a fan of minimalism and on this jersey, I can't find any sign of that, but in the end I still like them. That star also gave them some funnier meaning and define them not as serious one, but as a silly or nice one.

8. Washington Wizards (2011-present)

These jerseys are very similar to those that Bullets had. They are pleasing to the eye, using compatible colors, red, navy blue and white gives this jersey modern look. Stripes are giving to connection with the Bullets and tradition and so on, which is a great thing. They haven't got some tough rebuilding of the franchise, so going the same path is the thing I like.

7. Houston Rockets (1995-2003)

These jerseys represent Rockets the best! Current jersey is a nice one, red and white combination, simple. Less is more some would say, but that isn't a good example of that catchword because they are boring. Rockets from the 90s had passion, personality, identity, which I can't say for the current team and their uniforms. These vertical stripes are making this jersey more interesting, this logo gives it some friendly and passionate note.

6. San Antonio Spurs (1989-present)

If someone gives me this jersey without names and team logo on it, I would definitely say that it's Spurs. Uniforms should represent the team and it's mentality and these are doing it perfectly. Simple but old-fashioned. Changed U gives these jerseys a personality. I don't know in which way will Spurs go when Pop leave the coach rod to some other guy that is going to replace him or when Spurs GM changes, but they have absolutely no reasons to change these uniforms ever. They define them completely.

5. Chicago Bulls (1985-present)

These jerseys are still awesome, tho they last for 30 years. They are maybe the most recognized jerseys in the NBA, next to the Celtics and Lakers. Red is so vivid and it can represent the emotion and the power of bull when it gets angry and mad. Letters are black with white borders. They are very clear and direct. Bulls are the first thing you see and it's very clear. No shining and sparkling things, direct and straight to the point.

4. Toronto Raptors (1995-1999)

These jerseys are unique for sure. They are the proof that adding some crazy thing on the jersey can be a great thing. Also in an ocean of ridiculous jerseys from the 90s with some strange additions on it, this steps up. It isn't strange and funny as others, this one has something. Raptors tried to differentiate from the others with this uniform and they made it. Even the dino is having Raptors jersey. They wanted to make it clear to everyone that they are the Raptors.

3. New Jersey Nets (1972-1981)

Despite the New Jersey isn't a capital of United States of America, this jersey has a flag on it and it looks really good. New Jersey is one of the oldest states, so it gives some historical note to it. They have stripes from the flag on the one side and team name and number moved a bit to the other. They aren't perfect, but they are very nice and very good example for the nice old jerseys.

2. Boston Celtics (1946-present)

Boston Celtics v Atlanta Hawks - Game One

When I think about tradition and NBA, the first team that comes to my mind is Boston Celtics. They are so traditional and it's for respect. They haven't changed its jersey from the founding the team. Bill Russell, Larry Bird, John Havlicek, Paul Pierce and Isaiah Thomas wore and wear today the same jersey. Green is the color of Boston and the jersey is, of course, whole green with white letters. I think that NBA will shut down earlier than Celtics change its jersey.

1. Los Angeles Lakers (1976-2000)

magic

This is a true classic. It's like Godfather in movies. Purple and gold. Great combination. Also, these 3D numbers made Lakers players from the 70s, who wore it, to look like some futuristic guys. This is perfect jersey, it has a unique style and this uniforms made it to the 2000s. They lasted 24 years which is great for some uniform.

Which is your favorite? Is it in this list?
