Top 5 Sneakers More Expensive Than Lonzo Ball's ZO2's

Top 5 Sneakers More Expensive Than Lonzo Ball' LO2

Sneakers! They've come a long way since the early 80's, 90's and even the 2000's. Sneakers now days are more about the casual look than the on court feel or the swag that intimidates your opponent as soon as they see your fresh kicks. Nowadays every second person is walking down the street in a pair of Jordan 1's. The rarity of sneakers has doubled and even tripled since the days of Mike, AI and a young Adidas Kobe. But Lonzo Ball is doing it his way.

We all know the story, Lavar can't seem to shut his mouth at the right time, and this time it's really cost Lonzo as Adidas, Nike and Under Armour all passed on him to represent them in the NBA.

Understandable really when your dad can't seem to stop talking smack to everyone. Either way, Lonzo has released his own sneaker with his own brand "Big Baller Brand" called the ZO2s, and they come with a heavy price tag of $450 USD. But are these the most expensive pair of sneakers you can currently own right now? Check out 5 kicks on the court that are currently more expensive.

5. Kobe 11 Elite Low "Fade To Black" - $550 USD

Now that's a lot of money for a pair of shoes, even a pair of Kobe's. However, maybe this price can be justified seeing as these kicks are the last pair of shoes Kobe Bryant wore on a basketball court. This colourway is very rare and if you do come across these they will cost you a pretty penny.

Nike athletes were given a special custom pair of these to commemorate the Mamba on his last game, even athletes from different sports. Serena Williams was given a design taken for her tennis shoes using the same black and gold with the signature Nike Tick. These Kobe's also look a lot like the ZO2's too, don't you think?

4. Nike Air Zoom Generation "First Game" - $600 USD

These kicks are very special for one reason and the name gives a big clue. They're LeBron James' first ever pair of basketball shoes hence the "First Game" name of them. Earlier this year Nike re-released a limited number of pairs of these kicks around the All-Star game held this season in New Orleans. The sneaker heads now see these shoes as much more of a casual sneaker rather than a game wear shoe, and I differently agree. How could anyone wear such a beautiful pair of shoes and run the risk of wrecking them?

Either way, if you were one of the lucky people to cop a pair of these kicks you've got to be very into sneakers, as the price of $600 USD is getting pretty high. But not as high as some of these other sneakers.

3. Nike Zoom Hyperdunk "Galaxy Sample" - $1,250 USD

Now we're talking price! A very very rare shoe worn by Blake Griffin during the famous car jumping All-Star weekend. Blake is now signed with Jordan Brand and has a long range of funny TV commercials we're all probably seen. But throw it back to when he was signed with Nike, these shoes were hot and wanted. With that price, only the biggest sneaker heads would cop these. Unless of course, you're a big Blake Griffin fan.

Sitting at $1,250 USD these shoes are well over double the price you'd be paying for a pair of the ZO2's, but they do look a lot nicer, of course to me, that's not saying much.

2. Air Jordan XI - $2,700 USD

How much?! Now that is a lot of money for a pair of shoes no matter how special they are. Oh, they were worn by Michael during his comeback season in 1995? Well, okay I guess. Mike himself wore his own Air Jordan XI's after returning from his run in the Minor League Baseball league, but we won't talk about that. In just his fifth game back in the Bulls uniform, Jordan put up a huge 55 point game in MSG against the Knicks, which became just one of the many massive games we saw in these shoes.

Some sneakerheads regard the Jordan XI's as some of the best Jordan's on the market. But with a price like that I don't think I'll be splashing into my wallet for a pair anytime soon.

1. Air Jordan 4 Retro "Eminem" - $40,000 USD

No. I'm being serious. You read that correctly. If you want a pair of these 4's you better be a Prince in Saudi Arabia or better yet, Eminem himself. Only 10 pairs of these shoes were made in collaboration with Eminem and they were sold by bid on eBay for upwards of $40,000.

It's rumored that a few more pairs of this limited shoe were in the manufacturing but didn't hit the shelves unless someone has inside knowledge I guess we'll never know. Either way, these shoes are some serious heat. But enough heat to cop out $40g, you be the judge of that.
