In case you've been living under a rock, Ben Simmons recently achieved a long-awaited career milestone: his first NBA three-pointer. As you might expect, the community was on fire with reactions from fans all around the globe.
Needless to say, it was a big moment for Simmons and the 76ers, who were no doubt thrilled to see some progress in their most promising player.
NBA 2k had a bit of fun with the moment as well, using the opportunity to bump up Simmons' 3-point rating in the game.
A 47 is far from good in 2k's world, but a 12 point increase is nothing to fret about. Clearly, they feel as if Simmons deserves some respect for connecting from distance. And while they did their due diligence, how will the rest of the league react?
Will defenses start closing out on Simmons from the perimeter, or will they continue to let him shoot? Was his shot a sign of things to come, or was it just an anomaly?
There are a lot of questions about the future of Simmons and the development of his game. We will have to wait to see how those questions get answered as the season progresses.
