NBA 2K27 is the 28th installment in the NBA 2K series and is set to release on Sept. 4, 2026. As we inch closer to the release, 2K has started revealing player attribute ratings, and the first to come out was the top 10 three-point shooters. There are no prizes for guessing who the best marksman in the game is.

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry has had a near-perfect 99 rating for three-pointers since NBA 2K16. Curry is the greatest shooter we have ever seen, and he might just stay at the top for the rest of his career. The 38-year-old actually shot only 39.3% from three in 2025-26, but there won’t be too many who argue he should drop down this list.
Now, Curry was just one of two players with a 90+ three-point rating in NBA 2K26, and we’ve got more than 10 this time around. Charlotte Hornets‘ sophomore forward Kon Knueppel is second at 94, and it’s well-deserved.
Knueppel led the NBA with 273 threes made last season and shot an excellent 42.5% from beyond the arc. Phoenix Suns guard Luke Kennard, meanwhile, led the NBA (minimum 82 makes) by shooting 47.8% from three, and he is tied for third with a 93 rating.
Kennard’s former teammate Luka Doncic is just below him at 92, along with Anthony Edwards and Kevin Durant. Durant was actually the only other player apart from Curry to be over 90 last season. He was a 91 and got bumped up a bit.
As for a notable snub, Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray comes to mind. Murray shot 43.5% from three and ranked fifth in makes with 245. He definitely should be here.
Moving on now, only one of these 10 made the next list: vertical leap.

The Thompson twins will be at or near the top for vertical leap for a very long time. They’re incredible athletes, with even LeBron James admitting that Amen and Ausar Thompson aren’t like the rest of us. A couple of rookies are right with them here, though.
Tobi Lawal had a 40.0-inch standing vertical at the combine, which is the second-best ever. Lawal also had a 45.5-inch maximum vertical, tied for second-best in combine history. The man sure can jump.
If you’re wondering where Lawal went, the Dallas Mavericks selected him with the 48th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. It will be interesting to see how he develops.
Los Angeles Lakers rookie Cameron Carr got a 98, too. Carr had a 38-inch standing vertical and a 42.5-inch maximum vertical at the combine.
Edwards, who was in the top 10 for three-point shot as well, was right below Carr with a 97. He’d have no one ahead of him in the next category: driving dunk.

There probably isn’t a more ferocious dunker in the NBA today than Edwards. Fans have long called for the Minnesota Timberwolves superstar to enter the Slam Dunk Contest, but it doesn’t look like he’ll ever take part. Speaking of the contest, we do have some winners here in Zach LaVine, Derrick Jones Jr., and Mac McClung.
LaVine and Ja Morant are two others, along with Edwards, who got in the top 10 for both vertical leap and driving dunk. Morant got on the next one with Edwards, too: speed with the ball.

So, that makes it four out of four for Edwards. Combine exceptional athleticism with incredible skill, and you get one of the best players in the NBA, which is what he is.
It’s San Antonio Spurs guard De’Aaron Fox who leads this category once again, though. Fox was 97 last season as well and has retained that rating. You wondered if 2K might drop him down a bit after OG Anunoby chased him down on the break and blocked his layup in Game 4 of the 2026 NBA Finals between the Spurs and the New York Knicks, but they haven’t.
Morant is another who has stayed at 95 from last year, but he was tied for second then. Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey has jumped all the way up to 96 from 90 last year to pass him and get that second spot.
We have got some rookies here, too, right at the end in Darius Acuff Jr. and Kingston Flemings. They’ll be hoping to make their marks in the NBA next season and climb up these lists.
It will be interesting to see what attributes come out next. There are a lot of important ones left, like ball-handling, passing, steals, and blocks.
