6 pm on June 30th officially marks the start of 2019 NBA free agency. And despite having weeks for players to make their choices, some need no time to decide where they are going.
6 deals are expected to be done today, per the New York Times' Marc Stein.
Kyrie and Kemba are the only players on the move in this scenario. Kyrie will be heading to the Nets on a 4-year max, and Kemba will take his place in Boston with the same contract.
As for Klay, Kristaps, Vuc, and Barnes, they will essentially follow the money by staying put in their respective franchises.
Despite a number of these stars making their decisions rather early on, the market is still flooded with talent, including Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, DeMarcus Cousins, and more. With the Nets and Celtics landing stars, it will be interesting to see who follows. These next couple of days will be hectic as the community tries to figure out just that.
